THE TRUE COST CHANGED MY LIFE.
We have partnered up with @anactglobal to feature The True Cost documentary for their Act Up! drive in. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on an untold story and asks us to consider, who REALLY pays the price for our clothing? The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. Because 99% of manufacturing is done overseas, most American customers do not have knowledge of this crisis and the fact that the textile industry is the second largest contributor to the climate crisis.
Cost of admission is $20 and includes entry for 1 vehicle (not per person). A food vendor will be present at the event with vegetarian and meat options. Parking opens at 7:30pm. Film starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are selling fast and parking is limited, so secure your spot if you can make it.
Anact is short for "an act" whether it be an act of kindness, an act of goodwill or the simple act of creating impact. Their simple act was to create a hemp-based bath towel line better for all people and the planet (I have 4 of their bath towels!) What will your simple act to create an impact be? Start by learning the true cost garment workers pay for our fashion industry this 🤝
